Maisto has just shared information regarding the signing of world-renown graffiti artist SABER. |

scale Scion xB’s will be available from it’s ever growing Custom Shop brand,
utilizing SABER’s unique designs. SABER will do 3 different designs for the boxy and wildly popular vehicle. The product will also feature SABER inspired packaging, and a promotional poster created by SABER that will be offered at trade shows is in the works. The product is expected to be on shelf by November 2005. In 1997, SABER painted the world’s largest graffiti piece on the banks of the Los Angeles River. It measured 250 feet by 55 feet, and required 97 gallons of paint. It is considered to be one of the most important pieces ever done in graffiti history. SABER is currently involved in Installation, Scion Art Tour 2004 – 2005 with a number of other artists. More information about SABER can be found at his website, www.saberone.com. “SABER and his pieces are legendary so you know these will be much more than just tagged on Scions.” Says Ralph Benitez, the innovative designer and leader of the Custom Shop. “We gave him a couple of vehicles to grace with his art and were blown away. The same will not be the same.” The Maisto brand name was registered in 1990 by May Cheong, a vertically integrated manufacturer based in Hong Kong. The company has been manufacturing die cast for over 30 years, have over 11,000 employees worldwide and manufacturing facilities covering over 2,000,000 square feet. |
