“The tagline of Playerz, - Luxury Die-Cast Collection – really gets to the core of what we were trying to develop” says Ralph Benitez, creator and designer of the line. “We were trying to do a more realistic look at these rides, but make them cool also. The look and feel are definitely there.”
The initial release of Playerz will include 6 different 1:18 scale vehicles, all with licensed wheels, brakes, and audio-video systems. Maisto will be offering many European models in the first release, including 2 Lamborghini and 2 Mercedes Benz. Other European manufacturers are scheduled for later releases.
Maisto will also be launching it’s new line of Limousines in the Playerz brand at the same time. Limousines will be available in multiple colors and will include licensed wheels and audio systems. They will be offered in 1:64 and 1:24 scales. The 1:24 scale will feature interior and exterior lights.
The last Playerz release for 2004 will be 1:64 scale. 6 titles, each with 2 different color schemes and featuring licensed wheels, will be in stores by this Christmas.
