V.P. Katherine Ngan Receives Honor
	Mrs. Katherine Ngan, Vice President of the May Cheong Group, a toy manufacturing company which includes the Maisto and Bburago brands of die-cast replicas, has received an Honor University Fellowship from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The honor was bestowed upon her in a ceremony earlier this summer. Through Mrs. Ngan’s leadership, The May Cheong Group now enjoys a strong share of the worldwide die-cast toy market.
Based on her vision and stewardship, the company has established its brands on a global stage, and she has garnered many honors, both for herself and for the company. She has personally received the Hong Kong Young industrialist Award and the Enterprise Trophy of the Hong Kong Business Awards. Mrs. Ngan has been an ardent supporter of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for many years, and has a deep commitment to education and Social Services. She has served as a Member of the University Council from 2001 to 2007, and has also been a Member of the Steering Committee of Polytechnic University’s Institute for Enterprise. The Maisto brand name was registered in 1990 by May Cheong, a vertically integrated manufacturer based in Hong Kong. The company has been manufacturing die cast for over 30 years, have over 11,000 employees worldwide and manufacturing facilities covering over 2,000,000 square feet. In 2006, they completed the acquisition of Bburago, a leading die-cast company based in Italy. Maisto and Bburago branded die-cast replicas and toys are sold worldwide.
