Early April 07

The 2007 rcx show is now history, but the gallery captures a glimpse of what went on. Maisto had 3 cars on exhibit, a 2006 ferrari F-430 spider, absolutely gorgeous with the glass engine cover, courtesy of our friends at Giovanna Wheels. We had a 1950 Merc, so low to the floor you couldn't slip a dollar under the chassis. That was courtesy of Cacho Customs. They even provided a poster, shot by Mitzi of Mitzi
and Co.
, and featuring Melody, who also showed up on Sunday to sign posters and make the booth look prettier. Last we had the Kaucher Mustang, a 1967 beast of a machine owned and provided by Kaucher Kustoms. We gave away 6 of the 100 1:10 R/C Giovanna Edition Ford Mustang, inspired by the Kaucher Kustom design. We gave away 1000 Toy Fair cars. We gave away hardback books published by Bburago. We gave away a new Bburago poster featuring the lovely Amber, who was also in on Saturday to sign. We gave away Bburago bags and Maisto bags. Much thanks to Alan and the group from Die-Cast X for their help and support."

A new Look, some new stuff to Look At, and at Maisto, the Collection Keeps Growing...
The stage was SEMA, in Sin City, and Maisto was there in all our 20’ by 20’ glory (only cuz the man won’t let us have more space...) There were some significant no-shows from the industry, others had toned down booths, but tone-down definitely did not describe Maisto this year.  First we had the EXtremely limited edition Giovanna Edition 1:10 RC Mustang – only 100 will ever be produced, about 25 of them given away at SEMA. Special thanks to Keith and Mitch at Kaucher Kustoms for allowing us to mess with their real car. We had the brand new Transporter with Car, specially designed by B-Rad for an exclusive Target 2007 item. We had some of the T-Lugz on display, and a tease for the new Outlaws release coming mid-2007. The Challenger concept was well represented, in custom and soon-to-be classic mode. Our twin sister from another mother, BBurago, made a bit of a debut. Then we got love from Matteo Mulcare, CEO of Plush Magazine, one of our favorite reads and a huge (HUGE) fan of ours. Anything else??? Let’s see, 3 days of shows, parties, fancy dinners, hmmm... Oh yeah, we had an appearance by DJ Lady Tribe, hosted by the voice of the movement, Melloe Won. Tribe signed, and signed, and signed, like 300 of her graffiti trains, giving them out to fans waiting in line for the better part of an hour. And Melloe Won described it all, shilling for Maisto, for Tribe, for Plush mag, for Melloe Won... Good times, good times. Enjoy the new site. No really, we promise this time, we’re gonna keep it up...

Late May 06

An O. C.-Rush!!! it was all happening in anaheim may 6 and 7 as maisto again dealt with the die-hards at the 2006 RCX Show. while there was plenty of joy in die-castville emanating from the likes of toy zone, rc2, and mattel, the maisto booth truly had a feast for all. we had the r. benitez magnum rt, of course, fully amped with gear from our boys at audiobahn (thanks rainier) and myron and davis. we had an exquisite
1960 ford starliner, courtesy of k. grani - two-toned, chromed, dropped, and an engine that purred - it was a classic beauty. we had another classic beauty, the lovely, the personable, the mad as hell at the picture we used for her poster maisto spokes-model amber goetz (www.mxamber.com). and there was even more - we unleashed the latest from the dirty south, East Coast Riders King of the Street. We were even looping our new 1 minute commercial which dropped on the King of the Street Volume 4 dvd May 1st. Not only that, our man Jayson from www.pstola.com, who did the ad for us, came by with his vid-camera and took some great footage of our give-aways, our die-cast, of amber - he got it all! we were even running 3 new spots from Jay and his crew - enamelized, roborods, and v-bugz. Awesome job jay - props to
pstola. and with that, and 480 chopped rcx v-bugz, just about everyone went away happy. final shout out to mike b, show boss, for an outstanding job, and we are out... View Photos

April 06

Finally! Something new up on the web. I mean the SLR was cool, but damn, it's been 11 months. Nothing is worth that kind of wait, but these are pretty cool. The latest 1:64 castings from the G-Rides V-BUGZ line. These will be found in release G-Ridez 6.3, dropping on or around Independence Day 06. An entire release of V-BUGZ. We are planning for it to be the biggest release since the Playerz Spades release last year. We've got lots of new stuff up on the site - G-Ridez for one, R/C for another. And there is plenty more on the way. We are shifting some
things around to get you more stuff faster. 11 months - really.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy.

Late May 05

Maisto was on the scene of the most recent RCX show held at the Anaheim Convention Center. Not only were we there launching our brand new line of Playerz Luxury R/C and Pro Rodz Pro Touring R/C, but we were also joined by our playerz from Giovanna - GFG Wheels, who showed up in a real Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren. Well, you don't actually drive the LA freeways in a $500,000 car (especially if it is owned by your boss), it was towed over to the show site. But talk about a show stopper. Sleek lines. Beautiful curves. A sultry stance... Oh yeah, the show. It was a blast. Had our latest – the 1:64 G-Ridez. Major love from the collectors for those. And the R/C is just too much fun. Check out some of the photos from the show...

Late Feb 05

New York- February. The Toy Building. The 102nd Annual American International Toy Fair. Maisto's over-crowded showroom was packed to the walls as all of our new models for the year were featured. Buyers, licensors, the press, and other industry watchers came through the showroom,
excited to see the new Tonka and Marvel packaging, the 20+ new titles in 1:18 scale, the hot MotoGP titles, new H-D series and new Assembly line kits. Then they came to the Custom Shop, a chained off section complete with security forces and flat screen monitor, filled high with shiny new Playerz, like the 1:18 Chrysler 300C, Pro Rodz like the new 1:18 Camaros and the entire first flow of 1:64 scale. A section set with the Packaging of the slick new 1:64 G-Ridez. And finally - 1:12 scale Radio Control. Working samples. Everyone kept looking at the quality. The styles. The stance of the vehicles - and they kept saying, "Maisto?". Oh yeah. It's Maisto.

Mid Nov 04

Maisto had a booth at the recent SEMA displaying the first of our new custom lines- and the response was phenomenal! Our first production samples of the G-Rodz Pro Touring 1:18 scale was hailed by collectors as UNREAL - we heard comments like: the liquid paint flows off of the chevy nomads - the chrome sparkled inside and out on the Bel Airs, the interior on the GTO has mad detail, the rim and tire detail on the line just looked FAST Playerz were on display too and collectors saw firsthand how tasteful a blinged out die-cast replica should be done.

Early Nov 04

A new feature to the new web-site - 100 words - give or take. as often as we have something to say, we will give you a new spin on what is going on inside the walls of maisto - products, promotions, news, etc. first up - Playerz - it's happening big time. 1:18 scale first production samples were flown in for our october show in New York - early line on the company favorites are the liquid bronze murcielago with maido gr5 rims and the black H2, loaded with chrome and  riding on GFG's and with a sick rockford fosgate i.c.e. system. the always down video screen smokes. a little over 100 words - we're out.
