The May Cheong Group, the parent company of Maisto and Bburago products, is concerned about the environment and the legacy we leave our children. Throughout our organization, from product design to manufacturing to sales and customer service, if there is a feasible way to conduct our business in more ecologically responsible manner, we will do so. Maisto and Bburago products are manufactured primarily of metal and plastic, and packaged in paper. 100% of the metal trim and cuts are recycled in our factories. 100% of corrugated paper trim and cuts are also recycled through our paper suppliers. Our shipping cartons have no metal staples, so they can be recycled easily at store level. Maisto and Bburago products are designed in a manner that uses less plastic and less paper – in turn less waste goes to the dumpsite and less trees and natural resources are consumed. We are always looking to reduce package size and package components. The May Cheong Group also utilizes the most advanced software and order processing system. In all aspects of our business, our goal is to reduce the use of paper wherever possible. In truth, most paperwork is handled electronically. When we do use paper, more often than not is recycled. Our ultimate goal is to go paperless. At the May Cheong Group, we are committed to the doing everything that we can to ensure that all future products will use as much recycled and recyclable content as possible. We will continue to improve and refine our manufacturing processes, as we have for the last 40 years, to be more efficient and to waste as little material as possible. We will also be evolving into a greener company as it relates to sales and marketing tools utilized, always looking to offer electronic versions as a preferred option to printed materials. We are continually working to find new ways to make our company as environmentally friendly as possible. If you think we could do a better job, or if you have an idea for us to improve, please drop us a note at customerservice@maisto.com. We hope you will join us in making the Earth a cleaner, better place. |
