Twenty years after the first Vespa, the 90 Super Sprint appeared right in the middle of the Swingin' Sixties. This 1965 model had a more aerodynamic look to it. The most obvious of the sleek new features was locating the spare tire to the footwell area from the left side of the rear wheel. In addition to the 90 Super Sprint, Maisto makes several dozen different Vespa models in 1:18 die-cast. See them on pages 44 and 45 of the 2013 catalog on the www.maisto.com home page.
Here's the real thing. It's in a back room at the Vespa museum next to the factory in Italy where I photographed most of the scooters in their collection for the Maisto line.

Some of you may remember what it's like to dump your toy box out on the floor.
